The Salina Library community room is available for use by local community organizations. Preference will be given to groups of an educational or cultural nature. Library programs always receive first consideration in scheduling community room events. The community room may be used free of charge by non-profit organizations. Profit making groups will be asked to make a $20 donation to the library. No admission fee may be charged by any group using the community room.

MAKING RESERVATIONS: The community room should be reserved at least one week in advance and may not be used by any one group more than two times a week. Recurring reservations will be accepted for a period of six months. At the end of the six months all reservations must be renewed. Attendance at meetings is to be limited to 32 people.

COMMUNITY ROOM USE: All meetings must take place during regular library hours unless special arrangements have been made with the library director. No smoking or alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the community room. Refreshments are permitted. The community room must be left in a neat and orderly condition. Groups will be charged for any necessary repair or cleaning costs. All meetings must be conducted so as not to disturb normal library use. Permission is required for the use of any library owned equipment. Salina Library is not responsible for equipment, supplies, materials or other items owned by a community group and used by them in the library. Large groups or organizations are asked to find alternative parking. Space in the library parking lot is limited and should remain open for library patrons. Violation of any portion of this policy may be considered cause for denial of further community room use.
